MRA e-invoicing in Mauritius

Get a hassle-free, turnkey e-invoicing setup in Mauritius. We assess your software, guide you through onboarding, and set up and test the agreed connection with EBS Mauritius. We train your team before handover, with tailor-made integrations assessed for systems without a ready-made option.

E-invoicing for unsupported software

Your software has no MRA e-invoicing option? We build tailor-made connections for accounting software, ERP and POS systems. We can also assess older applications and software built specifically for your business.

We check your software version and how it shares invoice data before confirming the work. If it cannot support a reliable connection, we explain the alternatives first.

To prepare your e-invoicing assessment, start with the details below. We confirm the connection and onboarding work after reviewing your actual setup.

  • Your accounting, ERP or POS software name, edition and version, and who currently supports it.
  • An anonymised invoice, plus a credit note or debit note if your team uses them. Keep customer information and passwords out of the public contact form.
  • Whether you have received an MRA notice and the deadline stated in it. Your accountant should confirm the taxpayer and tax details.
  • How staff issue invoices today, and who follows up a pending or rejected document.

A turnkey setup, from onboarding to handover

We work with you and EBS Mauritius to coordinate the agreed implementation. We help your business with the required MRA registration, tests and onboarding. Your accountant confirms the tax details, and we agree who handles each step before go-live.

  • Assess your software and an anonymised sample invoice.
  • Agree the connection, onboarding steps and responsibilities.
  • Set up and test the agreed connection.
  • Check invoice numbers, totals and agreed tax codes. Confirm that the returned Invoice Registration Number (IRN) is saved with the transaction and the MRA QR code appears on the customer invoice.
  • Include credit notes and debit notes used by your business, and test what staff see when a submission is pending or rejected.
  • Train your team and hand over the invoicing workflow.
  • Agree support and who follows up rejected invoices.

Frequently asked questions

What is MRA e-invoicing?

Your billing system sends invoice details to the Mauritius Revenue Authority for fiscalisation. It retains the returned Invoice Registration Number (IRN) with the transaction and puts the MRA QR code on the customer invoice. The IRN is not printed on that invoice. Emailing a PDF alone does not complete this process.

Can I keep my current accounting software, ERP or POS?

Often, yes. We first check the product, version and available ways to exchange invoice data. We confirm whether a connection is practical before proposing the work.

Can you connect unsupported or older software?

We assess systems without a ready-made MRA connection, including older and bespoke applications. The available interfaces, data quality and vendor restrictions determine what we can build.

Can you help with QuickBooks e-invoicing in Mauritius?

Yes. Tell us your QuickBooks edition, version and company region. We review your invoice workflow and the connection options with EBS Mauritius before confirming the setup.

Who needs to use MRA e-invoicing?

MRA introduces the requirement in stages, based on taxpayer category and turnover. A written MRA notice can also set a deadline. Check the current MRA guidance and the notice sent to your business.

How much does a custom e-invoicing connection cost?

The price depends on your software, the connection method and the work needed. We assess your setup and provide a quote before you commit. Contact us with the software name and version.

Does installing a connection complete MRA registration?

No. The setup still needs the required tests, registration and onboarding for your business. We agree who handles each step before go-live.

How do we get started?

Tell us your software name and version, your current provider and what you need help with. An anonymised sample invoice helps. Keep passwords and production credentials out of the contact form.

How do I choose an e-invoicing provider in Mauritius?

Use MRA's indicative provider list as a starting point, then confirm the legal provider, product and model proposed for your business. The list records self-certified solutions; your business still has to complete the required registration, tests and onboarding. Before accepting a quote, ask for a demonstration with an anonymised invoice and agree the connection, staff training and support in writing. IT Works assesses the setup with EBS Mauritius before confirming the work.
